Analisis Hukum Legalitas Penggunaan Cryptocurrency Sebagai Mata Uang Di Indonesia

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze how legal policies in Indonesia regulate the use of cryptocurrency, and what obstacles are faced in law enforcement related to the use of cryptocurrency in Indonesia.This type of research is normative, namely this research is conducted by examining and analyzing secondary data with primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials from literature in the form of literature and legislation.The results of this research indicate that the use of cryptocurrency in Indonesia is still regulated by policies that tend to be conservative or even restrictive, especially in the prohibition of use as a means of payment according to Bank Indonesia. The barriers to law enforcement related to cryptocurrency include lack of understanding and education, technological challenges such as anonymity, as well as the risk of fraud and cybercrime.
