Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of hydroponic lettuce farming at PT Nina Agro Jaya, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Hydroponics was chosen as a modern, efficient and hygienic cultivation solution to meet market demand for high-quality fresh vegetables. The study was conducted from January to March 2025 using a purposive sampling approach in six farmer groups at PT Nina Agro Jaya, which has six hydroponic tables with a total of 112 planting holes per table and a harvest cycle of 36 days. The income analysis was based on calculations of fixed and variable costs and revenue from lettuce sales. The results showed that the total production cost per cycle reached IDR 6,336,000, while the total revenue was IDR 21,990,720. Thus, the net income earned by the farmer groups reached IDR 15,654,720 per harvest cycle. These findings confirm that hydroponic lettuce cultivation at PT Nina Agro Jaya provides tangible benefits, but the main challenges remain limited capital and the risk of crop failure. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of sustainable hydroponic agribusiness and a guide for business actors and policymakers in the modern agricultural sector.
