    • Self-Plagiarism: Reusing one’s own previously published work without proper acknowledgment or permission.
    • Mosaic Plagiarism: Incorporating phrases or ideas from other sources without quotation marks or proper citation, even if the text is rephrased.
    • Accidental Plagiarism: Failing to cite sources correctly due to oversight or misunderstanding, which is still considered a breach of academic integrity.
  2. Detection and Prevention:

    • Pre-Submission Check: Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection tools to check their manuscripts for potential issues before submission.
    • Editorial Screening: Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using industry-standard software and tools to detect similarities with previously published works.
    • Reviewer Vigilance: Reviewers are also asked to report any suspected instances of plagiarism or unethical practices they identify during the review process.
  3. Procedures for Addressing Plagiarism:

    • Initial Assessment: When a potential case of plagiarism is detected, the editorial office conducts an initial assessment to determine the extent and nature of the issue.
    • Author Notification: The author(s) will be notified of the concerns regarding plagiarism and given an opportunity to respond or provide clarification.
    • Investigation: A thorough investigation will be conducted, including reviewing the manuscript, the sources involved, and any responses from the author(s).
    • Decision Making: Based on the investigation, the editorial board will decide on appropriate actions, which may include:
      • Rejection of the Manuscript: If plagiarism is confirmed before publication.
      • Correction or Retraction: If plagiarism is identified in a published article, a correction or retraction will be issued as appropriate.
