Penggunaan Bahan Pakan Lokal Dengan Tingkat Energi Dan Protein Yang Berbeda Terhadap Performan Pertumbuhan Ayam Kampung Super
Abstract
Super native chicken is a type of Indonesian local chicken that potential to be developed by the local farmers. The growth of super native chicken is determined by the nutrient content of the consumed feed Therefore, this study was aimed to determine the performance of super native chicken growth from the interaction between energy levels and protein levels of the feeding treatments, determine the growth performance of super native chicken with different energy levels and determine the growth performance of super native chicken with the use of different protein levels in feeding rations based on local feed ingredients. This study was conducted at the Wireuna Village of Palu City from April till July 2017. This study used Completely Random Factorial Design with 2 factor. The first factor are energy levels were EM1 (2800 kcal) and EM2 (3000 kcal). The second factor are protein levels were P1 (18%), P2 (19%), P3 (20%) and P4 (21%). The measured variables were body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion, and growth index. Based on analysis of variance (ANOVA), the interaction between energy and protein levels gave a non-significant effect (P> 0.05) on body weight gain, feed conversion, and growth index, but significantly affected (P <0.05) on feed consumption. The energy level and protein level of each of them gave a nonsignificant effect (P> 0.05) on body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion, and growth index. The result of this research, the treatment that gave the best results based on the lowest feed conversion and the highest growth index was in EM1P4 treatment with a metabolic energy level of 2800 kcal and a protein level of 21%.
