ANALISIS DAMPAK TINGKAT PENDAPATAN USAHA MIKRO KECIL MENENGAH PASCA TERJADINYA BENCANA ALAM SEPNAJANG PESISIR KELURAHAN TALISE

Abstract

Natural disasters striking the coastal area of Talise Village, Palu City, have caused massive destructive impacts on the socio-economic sustainability of the community, particularly Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to analyze the decline in MSME revenue post-disaster, identify primary constraints in business recovery, and evaluate the adaptation strategies implemented by business actors. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data collection was conducted through in depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies using purposive sampling for key informants. The findings reveal that following the natural disaster, MSMEs experienced a drastic revenue decline ranging from 40% to 90% due to physical asset destruction, limited working capital, and reduced consumer purchasing power and visits. To survive, MSMEs relied on family-based operational efficiency strategies, product diversification, and limited social media utilization. This study recommends integrated interventions from local governments and financial institutions through subsidized credit schemes, legal certainty for coastal zone management, and ongoing business management and disaster risk mitigation assistance.
