PENGARUH DISIPLIN KERJA DAN BEBAN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN BANK MANDIRI KANTOR CABANG (KC) PALU IMAM BONJOL
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and workload on employee performance at Bank Mandiri KC Palu Imam Bonjol. The background of this research is based on the importance of employee performance in supporting organizational success, especially in the banking sector which requires accuracy, speed, and optimal service. Work discipline and workload are considered as two factors that may influence employee performance. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to employees. The sample size in this study consisted of 33 respondents. The data analysis techniques include validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²) using SPSS software. The results of the study show that partially, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by a t-value of 3,551 with a significance level of 0,001 < 0,05. Meanwhile, workload does not have a significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value of 1,323 and a significance level of 0,196 > 0,05. Simultaneously, work discipline and workload have a significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by an F-value of 15,554 and a significance level of 0,000 < 0,05. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.509 indicates that 50,9% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by work discipline and workload, while the remaining 49,1% is influenced by other factors outside this study. The conclusion of this study shows that work discipline is the main factor influencing employee performance, while workload does not have a significant effect partially. Therefore, organizations need to maintain and improve work discipline as an effort to enhance employee performance.
