PENGARUH SELF-EFFICACY DAN LOCUS OF CONTROL TERHADAP KESIAPAN KERJA SISWA PADA SMK NEGERI 3 PALU

This study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy and locus of control on students’ work readiness at SMK Negeri 3 Palu. The research employed a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative methods. The sample consisted of 87 twelfth-grade students selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from a population of 683 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that: (1) self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on work readiness; (2) locus of control has a positive and significant effect on work readiness; and (3) self-efficacy and locus of control simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on students’ work readiness. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.823 indicates that 82.3% of the variation in work readiness is explained by self-efficacy and locus of control, while the remaining 17.7% is influenced by other factors. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening psychological factors to enhance vocational students’ readiness for the labor market.
