Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics of LAMADJIDO MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS JOURNAL (LAMBI)
LAMADJIDO MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS JOURNAL (LAMBI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. All authors submitting their works to the journal for publication as original articles attest that the submitted works represent their own contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works without clearly citing the source. Below are the key ethical behaviors expected from all parties involved in the act of publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher.
Duties of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted.
- Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data if practicable.
- Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication: Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.
Duties of Editors
- Decision on the Manuscript: The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published, based on the validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers.
- Fair Play: The editor should evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
- Confidentiality: The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Duties of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must keep all information regarding papers confidential and treat them as privileged information.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation.
Ethical Oversight
- Allegations of Misconduct: In the event of an ethical complaint or conflict, the editorial team will take all necessary action to resolve the issues, following the best practice guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
LAMADJIDO MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS JOURNAL is dedicated to following fair and professional dealing in all aspects of publishing and will continue to monitor and safeguard publication ethics.
