ANALISIS STRATEGI PENANGANAN STUNTING DI KECAMATAN BANAWA TENGAH KABUPATEN DONGGALA
Abstract
The study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using a SWOT analysis through the preparation of Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) matrices to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the implementation of the stunting reduction acceleration program. The research results indicate that Banawa Tengah District has several strengths: a strong local government presence, strong cross-sectoral collaboration, the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS), and support from central and regional government programs. Several weaknesses exist, such as limited health workers, unequal access to health services, budget constraints, and low public knowledge regarding nutrition, sanitation, and parenting. External factors indicate opportunities in the form of national policy support, utilization of local foods, community empowerment, and improved family welfare. While threats include poverty, rising food prices, climate change, poor environmental sanitation, and culture and parenting patterns that are less supportive of stunting prevention. Based on the SWOT analysis, recommended strategies include strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration, improving nutrition education and clean and healthy living behaviors, optimizing the use of local foods, expanding access to health services, increasing the capacity of health cadres, and strengthening ongoing program monitoring and evaluation.
