PERAN APLIKASI ZAHIR ACCOUNTING DALAM MENINGKATKAN EFISIENSI PENCATATAN KEUANGAN DI PT RAJAWALI ASHAB MANDIRI TOUR & TRAVEL

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Zahir Accounting application in enhancing the efficiency of financial bookkeeping at PT. Rajawali Ashab Mandiri Tour & Travel. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, involving key informants consisting of the director, the head of the finance division, and finance staff. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Zahir Accounting application contributes significantly to the efficiency of financial bookkeeping. The cash receipts and disbursements feature improves the speed and accuracy of transaction recording while facilitating effective cash flow monitoring. The sales feature integrates customer data, accounts receivable, and sales reports, thereby supporting managerial decision-making processes. The purchasing feature enables automated transaction recording and real-time inventory updates, which strengthens inventory control. Furthermore, the financial reporting feature generates timely, accurate, and relevant reports that support the company’s financial management. However, the study also indicates that the effectiveness of the system is influenced by human factors, particularly users’ accuracy and level of understanding in data entry. Therefore, enhancing human resource competencies and strengthening internal control mechanisms are essential to ensure optimal system utilization. In conclusion, the Zahir Accounting application plays a significant role in improving the efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of financial bookkeeping within the company.
